Fastest Putter in the West

Jeff Schmidt

I've been chasing little white balls through windmills and around obstacles since I was old enough to hold a putter, and I haven't really stopped since. Every vacation turns into a course reconnaissance mission, and I've played enough of them across this country to know what makes one truly special — and what makes you wonder who approved the design.

In 2017, Alisa and I started Sherwood Adventure — a mobile entertainment company where people shoot each other with bows and arrows (still running, still growing) — and that one taught us a lot about what it takes to make people genuinely have fun, not just show up.

Now I'm fixing to bring all that experience to Out West Glow Golf. It's the kind of place where families can make memories and friends can settle their differences the old-fashioned way — with a friendly competition. So come on down and see if you can out-putt the Fastest Putter in the West. Spoiler alert: you probably can't, but it'll be fun watching you try!

Wanted in Three Counties for Too Much Fun

Alisa Schmidt

If Jeff's the one keeping score, I'm the one making sure the place actually looks good. Art and design have always been my thing — and when we started talking about building a blacklight mini golf course with a Sonoran Desert theme, I had a lot of opinions. The western aesthetic you'll see at Out West, the course design, the way it all feels when you walk in — that's my department.

Jeff and I have been playing mini golf together since our early courting days, and I won't claim to be the champion — he's beaten me more times than I can count. Out of hundreds of games, I've won exactly 4 5 times. But those victories? Sweeter than sarsaparilla on a hot summer day. We've scouted courses from coast to coast, and I've developed strong opinions about what makes a place worth coming back for — not just good holes, but the whole feeling of the place.

So come on down and see why I'm wanted in three counties for too much fun. I promise the only thing you'll be arrested for is having too good a time!

The Trail Behind Us

How We Got Here

This isn't our first rodeo. Back in 2017, Alisa and I started Sherwood Adventure — a mobile entertainment company where people get to shoot each other with bows and arrows. Still running. Still growing. Turns out people really like that.

The mini-golf idea had been bouncing around my head for years. We've played courses all over the country — good ones, bad ones, a few that were truly baffling. And somewhere along the way I thought: we could do this. We could do this better. Blacklight mini golf, VR escape games, a multiplayer VR arena — the whole thing under one roof in Goodyear, AZ.

Why? Because families and friends need places to actually do stuff together. Not sit around staring at phones, but compete, laugh, and make memories. That's the heart of it. So here we are. It's been a long trail to get here, but we reckon it'll be worth the ride.

Built Different

What We Stand For

Community First

We've called Goodyear home for 26 years. We're building Out West Glow Golf for the families and friends of this community — not as a chain, but as neighbors.

Genuinely Fun

Not "entertainment center" fun. Real, competitive, laugh-till-it-hurts fun — the kind that turns a Wednesday night into a story you tell for years.

Authentically Western

The Sonoran Desert is stunning. We designed our space to celebrate that — a western theme that feels genuine, not like a costume. Because this is where we live.
